Apparently going to Canada plus the kids going to school has done wonders for my designing mojo!!!

This one was inspired from you guessed it - my vacation to Canada. I pulled the colors for it out of my photos! It's on sale for $4.19 (usually $5.99) thru Wednesday night.

This one was inspired by a dress that my niece was wearing the other day - I fell in love with the dark purples, blues, and pinks in it! When I named it, I had "Sweet Child O' Mine" by Guns and Roses stuck in my head - so... hehe! It's on sale for $3.49 (normally $4.99) thru next Wednesday night!

Let's see... In other news - have I mentioned how much I love having Hunter and Matthew in school??? It's fantabulous!!!

I applied for a job - and I have an interview coming up... I'm hoping I get to re-enter the world of work... (Not because I have to, but because I really think I'm ready to!) Plus, not to mention - Money is always a good thing!!!!

It's finally dawned on Austin that he's all by himself all day long. He just finished throwing a huge fit because his brothers and Daddy left him. It's a shame I can't send him to school too!

Yesterday was an incredibly busy day... I had A.J. and Austin to contend with. Which, don't get me wrong, they play really well together, it's just when you put a 2 year old and a 11 month old together, there's bound to be whining over toys and stuff!!! Austin really doesn't like it when A.J. gets fussy, because I pick her up and cuddle her. So he gets fussy, and there's just not enough room... Poor little man!

So, today is yet another one of those busy days... hehe!!! It could be worse, I get to spend time with A.J. and it keeps me outta trouble!!!!

I'm gonna try to sneak in some designing while it's quiet!!! Here's hoping I can make some progress on the kit I'm in the middle of!

Oh, how I love back to school time for the kids! Hunter and Matthew started 4th Grade and Kindergarten yesterday - so it's been unusually calm and peaceful around here. I'm loving every minute of it!!!

Austin by himself is pretty easy to handle. He just does his own thing and entertains himself! It's really nice!

I'm babysitting my niece the next couple of days because her Momma went and bought a car, so she had to get a job... lol!

I got some scrapping done the past couple of days!!! Yay!

This is the Lemon - Kris's (The Wench) car. I kept the layout simple on this one, I wanted the story to be the main focus!

Ah, the amazing-ness that is Niagara Falls! It's so pretty - there's mist all over, you can hear the roaring of the water as it rushes over the edge, and there's a slight chill to the air. (Must be all the water!) I hate to say it, but the Canadian falls so totally kick the American falls proverbial backside! The American ones are so tiny! The falls behind us in the photo are part of the Canadian ones.

I was really home yesterday, but my allergies decided to come back with a vengeance... I really didn't miss them at all, either. It was so nice to get a break from them!!!

I've decided that I'm either allergic to the state of Arkansas (LOL) or I'm allergic to all these boys... Either way, I'm stuck it looks like! :)

I've got a lot going on today.... Josh's uncle is coming up from Longview today, and he's swinging by here, so I'm under orders to clean up the house!!! Ick, ew... I don't wanna!

Ok, ignore that... I was having a spastic fit or something there...

Ok, so I'm not going on a grand trip around the globe, but I am leaving the United States for 9 days today!

That's right... As you're reading this, I'm off for Canada to go see my one and only favorite Wench! I'm leaving out of Little Rock, Arkansas at 11:30 a.m., flying into Charlotte, North Carolina at 2:19 p.m. (That's gonna be 1:19 my time... I'm gonna be so off... Stupid time zones!!!)

At Charlotte, I sit around until 4:30 p.m., when my flight leaves for Buffalo, New York. I get in there at 6:17 p.m. There I shall meet up with Kris (YAY!!!), get food, see Niagara Falls, then it's off to Canada!

As if my next few days aren't going to be super exciting enough, today's also my birthday! I turn the big 2-9 today... (Only 1 year away from 30... *sob*!)

How about this... you get a present, on my birthday! Lucky you! Celebrate my big day, and my freedom from the male species for 9 days with me, won't ya? :)

Much Ado About Nothing...

Yesterday was an insane day for me.... I finally got packed for my trip to Canada on Monday... I'm sure I'll change my mind about 5 times between now and then on what all I'm bringing, but I've got the base essentials covered at this point!

The amazing Houdini reborn that is Austin has learned a new trick.... Climbing baby gates!!! They're nothing to him now... So, we've got them double stacked.... He isn't about to climb up to the top of those puppies! Although, I have to admit, it makes getting back to my bedroom now a royal pain in the rear end!!!!

Hunter and Matthew had Vacation Bible School this week (Josh's uncle is the pastor for the church, and he asked if the boys could come.... So, I said Sure... Learning about God won't hurt them any!) Matthew's been walking around singing "Lord, blast our Bible School" instead of "Bless", which I'm sure is how the song goes... Too cute!

I've been puttering along on my new kit I'm working on.... I managed to get a button done today!!! Here's hoping the rest of this week turns into smooth sailing, so I can sit down and finish it before I leave!

Well, that's all that's really new around these parts.... Back to the grind of laundry and cleaning up after Houdini!!!!

and I'm going crazy! So much to do before I leave, and it never fails, everything gets brought to my attention at the last minute!!!!!

Josh brought home all my framed photos from storage, I'm supposed to hang these up today.... It was so cool to look at all these again! I even got my framed autographed Friends publicity photo back!!! I have no idea where I'm gonna hang it, but it's great to have back!!!!

I've got to go get Bat-Boo registered for Kindergarden today... His birth certificate and shot record are lurking around here somewhere.... I just gotta find them!

Oy... Aight, I'd better go do all that, then get to packing.... Have a good day!

Crazy Friday...

It was the prototypical Friday around here until about bedtime... That's when it got weird.

Austin woke up at about 11:00 last night, screaming like he was dying... I rush in there from my room, where I was reading my book, getting ready to pass out...

After a few babbled "Mama's", I picked him up, and cuddled him for a few, thinking he'd lay right back down...

Oh lord no, I was WRONG!

I spent a good hour trying to put him back to bed. Everytime, he'd pop right back up and start screaming. It finally dawned on me that he might not like how his room was looking... All Matt's stuffed animals are back, and he's got some big ones...

So, I carried him back to my room, the only room in the house that looks like it's supposed to right now... Put him down on my side of the bed,popped on Roswell in the DVD player... (I figured if I was going to be up with him, I might as well watch something I enjoyed!) then cuddled up to him, and sang him his lullabye, Guess what, it worked! He passed right back out!

So, I now have a baby sound asleep on my side of the bed, Josh was getting ready to go to bed, and I didn't want to move Austin and take the chance on him waking up.

Went and discussed it with Josh - The final say was up to me on whether or not to move him... So, I offered to sleep on the couch, and Josh told me that he'd rather he did... He didn't want to take a chance on knocking Austin off the waterbed. (Yes, he's done that to me before!)

So - I got Josh's stuff off the bed, then went back to my room to sleep with a different man, on the wrong side of the bed!!!

All that didn't matter when I got woke up this morning at 7:30 by a little man patting my face and saying Mama. When I opened my eyes, he gave me a kiss. I could get used to waking up like that! :)

Holy Crap, Batman!!!! I have so much to do!

I was going to take a photo of myself with my pink hair streak for you today, but no such luck, the camera batteries are dead... Figures, eh? :)

So, really nothing exciting going on here - I've been cleaning out the store room and getting things unboxed... It's too hot for this, I tell you what!!!

Yesterday sucked...

Remember when I said I was off to see what kind of trouble I could get into.... I'm never saying that again...

Yesterday started off normal enough.... then, around noon, I went to the bathroom and took my eyes of the kids...

Austin is a sneaky little child to begin with, keep in mind.... He sees me go in the bathroom, and he beats feet outside in the back yard. Opens the back gate, and strolls out into the front yard. (After taking off his diaper!)

So, one of my neighbors happens to be a cop, and he was off duty. He got Austin, called the cops in about the loose little one, and procceded to drag my child down to the end of the road....

I go out for a cigarette, and a cop stops by asking me if I know the kids in the neighborhood...

I go out and look, and it just looks like a little kid to me... Keep in mind, I *thought* that Austin was inside.

So, Momma instinct kicks in finally, and I got this bad feeling it was Munks...

I run inside, yell Austin about 3 times, and when I get no answer, I took off back outside, and tore down to the end of the road.

I get down there, Munks saw me, shrieked "Mama" and kicked the officer a few times wanting to come to me...

After getting a lecture on how I should keep a better eye on my kids and just making me feel like a totally horrible mother, I got Austin back. The cop took my name and other information, along with Austin's name and Date of Birth... then let me go.

I've got a sneaking suspicion that I'm gonna be hearing from Child Services soon, which ok... I'll deal with that if and when it happens...

Josh picked up a padlock for the back gate last night, and it's now locked down good and tight... Austin's not getting out again....

I'm afraid to go to the bathroom now... My little Houdini might escape yet again!

Yeah, WenchdGrafix.com/shoppe was down. And yes, my dumb ass broke it! :) I'm still trying to figure out how, but I've decided that it's just one of those "empty headed Ninny" moments that I occasionally have!

So, I screwed up, I'm owning it... I even went and got some big girl panties for the occasion...

I figure those are big enough to handle any occasion! :P

Hehe... Ok, off to see what kind of trouble I can get into today!!! Hopefully I don't break anymore sites!

I spent a good 3 hours at Wal-Mart last night buying new clothes for my trip to Canada... Midnight to 3 am... I'm still tired!!!! (Yeah, I know, enough whining!)

Thank goodness it's Friday!!!! I was beginning to think this week was never going to end!

Josh finally went back to work today... He's been home sick with Bronchitis all week long... I love the man, but there is such a thing as too much togetherness! :)

I'd been battling with a freaky rash all week long - I'm allergic to something, the only question is what... I finally got to the doctor and got 3 shots of steroids to stop the evil itchy rash! My skin looks normal again! Hallelujah!!!

LOL Literally! The A/C guys are here at the moment, fixing it for me!

Go figure, the temp outside today isn't that bad... It's cool and rainy. Why, oh why couldn't it have been this nice out there a couple of days ago? :)

Ah well...

In other news, I'm so excited!!!! I got a new pretty yesterday!

Meet my new phone, the Samsung Hue! It's got customizable faceplates for it, so it can be whatever color you want it to be... Mine is... yup, you guessed it, Pink! I've also got lime green, pearl white, red, and navy blue, so whatever mood I'm in, or outfit I'm wearing, my phone will coordinate... (How sad is that? LOL!)

There's no new releases from me this week at DSO, but the other girls went crazy! Kim's got her new Designer Grab Bag out - and this time, there's two, or you can buy the bundle! I for see eminent snaggage in my future!

I could go on all day about the new stuff, but I know you don't want to hear me gush on and on... Why don't you just go look for yourself at all the goodies!

On a sad note, can you believe that Mojo got chewed out on her own blog because an anonymous poster didn't like her blog for some reason? How ridiculous is that? I just can't believe it...

The heat is on...

Ok, admit it, you have that song in your head now that you read that, don't you? LOL!!!! Well, if you look thru the songs in my player on the sidebar there, you'll find it... I added it just because I was mean and got it stuck in your head (and mine!!!!)

I started with that because of one very important point to me right now... I don't have a freaking air conditioner right now... Mine went OUT!

Yeah, that's right... It's summer, very hot (and humid) outside, and it's not any better in here.... In fact, I think it feels better outside to be totally honest!

Josh is calling the AC guys tomorrow to get estimates to get a new one... We knew this day was coming, I just wish it had waited till October when it had started cooling off!

Let me pause to wipe my forehead... Ah, that's better!

Ok, so where was I???

I had a good weekend up at the cabin at Millwood Lake this weekend... Summer's officially here now! The boys had a blast playing outside with the other kids and spending time with their Grandmommy McGilberry.

I enjoyed the quiet time I got with just getting to sit on the porch and do little to nothing... Seriously, sitting in a rocking chair on a shaded porch with an ice cold Diet Dr. Pepper just says total relaxation to me!

I took my laptop to try to get some LO's done, but it didn't happen. I had my nose stuck in Janet Dailey's "Green Calder Grass" every chance I got! I'm loving that book so far...

Just super busy!!! There's so much going on right now... Gotta love summer vacation!

First and foremost, I got an award this morning!!!!

So, I'm supposed to pass it on to others... I know who - My creative team!

Kris - I shouldn't have to explain why I love her blog - she's hilarious, and one of my best friends in the world.... Love ya, Wench!

Shannon - My muse, another of my best friends in the world, and the world's greatest Digi-scrapping pimp and enabler there is!!!! :)

Mojo - She's always got great layouts on her blog, as well as totally yummy food porn!!!! Mmmmm!!!

Penny - My CT member who's closest to me... (She only lives about 30 minutes away from me...) She's a total doll, and her blog is a great place for layouts, inspiration, and freebies!

Kim - She's such a sweetheart! I begged her to be on my CT, just because I love her LO's! To this day, I don't regret it one bit!!!!

On to other news now....

My gorgeous car is in the shop... Wah!

The Sebring had a low tire, so Josh took it in to get it aired up, and then they found out that my rim was cracked - so they welded that...

As Josh was leaving the tire place, the brakes died, and the engine stalled out... So, it's currently in the shop getting fixed... Why it started doing that, I don't know, but honestly, I'm glad it wasn't me and the kids in the car when it happened!

Did you know there were 40 new releases this week at DSO??? Yeah, we designers have been busy!

Here's what I released this week:

Heartfelt is based on my Just Baggin' It Challenge prize kit at DSO this month - the prize kit was gushed over so much, I decided that I might as well go ahead and make a full kit for it... I love the colors, so it was lots of fun to make! :)

Kristine released a kit I'm so proud of... Why, you ask?

Introducing "Bat-Boo"! Yup, it's named after the goofball that is my middle child! I've been busy making LO's with it too!!!

I used Bracket Album templates by CMR Designs, and the fonts used are "My 3rd Grade Teacher" , "Jacob, age 7", and "Kittie" (All fonts by Allie Hoopes)

1. I'm a natural blonde. I keep my hair dyed Auburn Red because I like it better!

2. In my spare time, when I'm not chatting with the girls, designing, or doing something else girly.... I like to play online games. A few of my favorites are - Battlefield 2, Battlefield 2142, Starcraft, and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (There's nothing like getting into the game and shooting some mouthy guy, then informing him that he was killed by a girl to relieve stress, I tell you!)

or maybe it's just at my house... I don't know! :)

Today was chaotic to say the least. Matthew had a dental appointment this morning. Which, went pretty good except for his cavities (he needs caps on his back molars) and him bonking Austin upside the head with his own sippy cup. Munks has a big ol' bruised knot practically in the middle of his forehead.... I never knew sippys could do that much damage!

Munks wasn't impressed with that to say the least, and the whole time we were at the dental office, I had to stand up and bounce him. If I tried to sit, he screamed.

Then, fast forward to this afternoon. Lex brought A.J. over to see her favorite Aunt. Spent some quality time snuggling with my little baby girl, then went to pick up Hunter.

Hunter got home, and was outside riding his scooter with his friend. Proceeded to fall off said scooter and remove his toenail... That'll teach that boy to wear shoes! I feel bad for him, but I've told him I can't count how many times that when your outside doing stuff like that, to wear shoes!!! Maybe the lesson will finally stick with him!

So - on to scrapbooking stuff now... The more I think about today, the more I'm just tired and ready to go to bed!!!

First and foremost, I'd like to welcome Kim aka Kimscrapping to the team! I begged, and she said yes! Whew!!! :)

Mojo made this LO from my Cotton Candy kit. Keep in mind very few people have a photo of me in my uber geek glasses (That's what I call them!) So, ya'll are immensely lucky to get to see this photo of me! The LO is just too cute, I couldn't complain!!!

Kim's first LO for my CT!!!! She used Neopolitan - and it came out great! I'm gonna have to try that recipe with the boys when summer vacation finally arrives on June 1!

Mojo played with the chalk too!!! This is what she did with Sidewalk Chalk! I love how she blended in the photos to the LO, and the chalked photo of the cat!

Wild Weekend...

It's Tuesday, but it feels like Monday to me!

The whole family stayed home yesterday - so it was like an added day to the weekend! We've been working on the house - fixing it up and redoing it to our liking...

Why? Well... Due to some stupid glitch in the banking matrix... because the land wasn't improved, there's no way on this green Earth that a bank will give us a loan for my new house... Talk about making me so mad! (You can't tell me they didn't know about this before we even started this process!!!)

So I'm staying put for the time being... Could be worse, I guess... I do have a pretty nice roof over my head all things considered! So, I've now got a $5,000 budget for redecorating..., and I get to go back to school this fall!

We got my waterbed (ahhhhhh!) put back up, along with Hunter's new waterbed (my old one from when I was his age!).

Hunter moved into Austin's room, and Austin moved out of his crib and into the room with Matthew. He woke Matt up this morning at 7:00 with a sippy cup upside the head... Poor Matt!

I'd love to know what's gotten into my dogs! My peekapoo, Orion has decided that he's bigger and meaner than the big dog, Pedro. So, they've been getting into fights, and Orion's been coming out worse for the wear every time...

Yesterday, they got into it again, and poor Orion... I couldn't find him, he wouldn't come out when I called him... Finally found him behind my glider rocker... He wouldn't take a doggie treat.... Pedro bit him in the leg, and are you ready for this... mauled his privates pretty good...

Yeah, I freaked out, and called the vet, then took him in... We've gotta get the idiots neutered - Doc thinks that's the only way we're gonna solve this problem... I bet if we get Orion done, the problem solves itself, he's the one who starts it!

The joys of pet ownership, I tell you!

I suppose I oughta get busy and do something constructive around here other than sit on my bottom and stare at the mess we made this weekend... I'm sick of picking up boxes!

I think lots more coffee is the solution... Yeah, I'm gonna go get me another cup and relax for a bit!

Doin' the late night weather watch...

Here it is, 1:15 in the morning, and I'm blogging...

I know, I should be in bed... However, our weather is saying otherwise...

There's some nasty storm cells due to come through in a bit, and there's already been a couple of tornado warnings with them a couple of counties over (west of us, and they're tracking east...) (the darn beeping weather alert on the TV woke me up!)... so here I am, doin' the waiting and watching thing to make sure everyone's safe! I think if I didn't have kids, I would have just gone back to sleep, and whatever happened, happened... Having kids though, I just can't do that!

So - what's new for me...

My new kit hit my shop at DSO this morning. It's a very warm, tropical feeling kit - named "Almost Paradise" It even comes with it's very own tropical drink in a pineapple cup! It's priced at $4.99, and is jam packed with goodies!!! What more could you want??? :)

Tomorrow is my 2nd favorite day of the year... Mother's Day! The only day of the year I get to sleep in and not have to wait on everyone hand and foot!!!

Yesterday was pretty uneventful. Orion got groomed, that was about the height of my excitement!!!

Just look at him, doesn't he look tons better??? :) (And yes, I know, he looks like a possessed rat!)

Today's gonna be filled with craziness, I'm sure....

I was woken up by the dogs barking at 8:25 a.m. for NO reason!!!

Then, I realized that Josh wasn't home... He was off running a few new house related errands... Hunter was supposed to tell me where he was, and didn't...

Then my Mom calls... Bat-Boo didn't want to come home for his game, he wanted to stay at Grandma's... Plus, there were severe storms coming in, so that was his reasoning for my letting him stay...

So, I did what any self respecting Mom would do - I said, "Sure, keep him!!!"

Fast forward a couple of hours... Mom calls back - Matt doesn't feel good and wants to come home today after all. Oh yeah, and he's running a 102.4 fever! Oy!

This could throw a kink in my plans for today... Lex (my SIL) and I are supposed to go to the gym... She wants to start exercising, and I could use a gym partner that's not a monkey... (I say Austin's my gym partner, and Austin's a monkey... If you've ever seen "My Gym Partner's a Monkey" on Cartoon Network, you'll understand!)

We'll see... I'll keep my fingers crossed!

Enough blabbering about my crazy life...

Ah, the end of another week... I wish that meant the insanity would stop, but no, that'll never happen!

Yesterday evening was busy as usual!

We cleaned the dogs' room (yes, my dogs get a room to themselves - how spoiled is that!), gave the big dog, Pedro, a bath, and I pulled all the laundry out of my room to get washed.

Then, Austin and Hunter went out and bounced on the trampoline for a while, and I got photos!

Austin saw me come outside, and came running over to me.

He then proceeded to show me his amazing jumping skills...

Today's agenda is pretty easy... Took the hairy beast you see below this to the groomer's to get prettified again... Orion is the sassiest dog when he's groomed, and a total slob when he looks like that... He's a strange dog!

And other than picking up Hunter today, I don't have anything else to do!!!! Woohoo!!!

I'm gonna celebrate it with a nap, I think! I'm beat!

I swear, I just closed my eyes to go to sleep about 10 minutes ago! Ah well... It's shaping up to be a pretty day here in Texarkana! Highs in the upper 70's, nice breeze, lots of sunshine! I like days like this!

About 8:30 this morning, the phone rings... I glanced at the caller ID and grinned... Picked it up and said...

"Dork Dancing Central, Chief Dork Speaking..."

Yes, I seriously answered the phone that way. I'll bet you can guess who called too... If you said the Wench, you win a nose wrinkling grin from me! :)

She called to remind me to get my mood altering drug refilled! (Celexa, nothing too exciting, I promise!) I love my Wench! Only she could make an Anti-Depressant seem funny at 8:30 in the morning!

Auster-Munks (Austin for the people who don't know his nickname!) is about to become a full fledged toddler... He's opening doors and climbing out of his crib now! It's getting to the point I have to keep the deadbolt locked on the front door, or he's going to go outside and do heaven only knows what without Momma!

I guess it's time to look into babyproofing the doors and getting him a "big boy" toddler bed...

I should be sad that my baby's growing up, but oddly enough, I'm not... I'm more upset by the fact Matthew starts kindergarten next August than this... Crazy, huh? :)

Wow... It's been too long!

The DSL modem decided to die on us - and it wasn't just on any old day, it was on National Scrapbooking Day... So, I didn't get to partake in any of the wonderful sales!!!! (Wah!!!!) So many things I wanted that I'm not going to be able to get now at the discounted price!!!

On the bright side, not being able to surf the net and goof around with Kris and the girls means I actually got some work done... Here's a sneak peek... :)

It's Friday!!!! (Ok, so never mind the fact I'm blogging at 11:20 p.m., and it's about to be Saturday...)

We recently signed up for Netflix - I'm pretty impressed with them so far - The boys chose Spiderman 3 for their first movie, Josh got 300, and I got The Wedding Date. The guys got and watched their first movies, I'm still waiting on mine! At least they managed to pick decent ones - Spidey was good, and 300 (what I saw of it before I passed out...) was pretty interesting. Hopefully mine will come in tomorrow - After all these guy movies - I need a good dose of romantic comedy!

You can also watch movies online... They've got some decent titles on there. Josh is going to get us a converter so we can play it, and it shows up on the TV. It's much easier than trying to fit 4 people around a computer screen!

Another movie I saw here recently - in fact I bought it - was Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem. Now, keep in mind, I'm a *HUGE* Aliens fan... Love those movies!!!! Predator isn't too bad either... But, this one wasn't that great. I don't really want to get into why, but I actually had to get up and leave the room for a couple of scenes in this one. Ugh... I'm hard to gross out too, so you know it was bad!

How about we go onto some LO's now? Get my mind onto something more pleasant!!!

Between Austin getting sick Saturday night while we were camping, and Hunter getting dental work done... I'm just about done for the week!!! I just ain't got much of anymore to give!

Ever have one of those days where you're just there? I don't feel good, I don't feel bad. I just feel kinda "blah". I'm considering blaming the weather - it's so humid outside. If you're from down South, you know what that means in April... nasty storms are probably going to happen! I'm just so not in the mood for hail today.

Redecorating

Excuse the mess - I got sick of the way my blog looked, so it's time to redo it!

I've had a crazy day so far today.

Hunter had a dentist appointment this morning. He got 2 teeth pulled, and 3 cavities filled, and he's still not done! We go back on May 7th for the last filling. He's super hard to understand right now... If I didn't feel so bad for what just happened to him, I'd be laughing at him, I'm sure!

Matthew beat Guitar Hero on Easy... Oh yeah, he's all that now... He got to the first song on Medium thinking he was all that... about 3 tries later, he was asking me to beat it for him. I had pity - but that's the only one I'm doing for him, darn it!!!

Oh!!! Before I forget - we went to Josh's cousin's wedding this weekend in Oklahoma. Matthew was the ring bearer (or ring barrier as he called it)... and I've got photos of him and the other two to show off!!!

My little man all spiffed up in his suit!!! Isn't Bat-Boo a doll? :)

While Matt was all dressed up and couldn't get dirty - Hunter had no problems picking up the slack! He had fun running all over playing with his new friends while we were waiting for the wedding to start.

Last but not least - Austin looking as adorable as ever. I found that shirt he has on at Wal-Mart, and thought it was totally fitting for him to wear to the wedding!

Yeah, now that's what I'm talking about... Every blog post should start out with his totally *HAWT* self!!!

Kris and I were chatting last night, and somehow it ended up on good looking men, and we both agree about Bruce... The older and balder he gets the better!!!

Let's see here... What's going on in my life since last time I blogged...

Hunter is taking the Benchmark Test this week. This is one of those tests that he either passes or fails 3rd Grade... I'm a little worried about it, because he doesn't test well... He has a hard time sitting there paying attention for hours on end like they want them to on these tests...

Matthew is becoming a Guitar Hero. He finally beat his first song, "Slow Ride". He's thinks he's all that, let me tell you! He's informed me that he was now better than I am at the game... I'll just let him think that!

Austin's been his usual goofy baby self... He's started saying "Cheese, dude!" thanks to his Daddy and older brothers... So, at dinner now, if we're having anything with cheese, that's all you hear is "Cheese, dude!!!!" He's also been refusing to call Josh Daddy lately. Josh is now "Dude"...

I know, my child is strange. :)

Am I really blogging two days in a row??? What is wrong with me? :)

So... My day started off in it's typically insane fashion... Woke up at 8:50... I'm guessing Josh didn't reset the alarm, because it wasn't going off... Come to find out, Hunter had been up since 7:30, just didn't wake me up because he thought if he didn't, he'd get to skip school.... Yeah, right, kiddo...

So, after putting my "mom" foot down and making him get ready for school, I got him up there and dropped off, with my apologies to his teacher for the evil mood he was in... I hope it improves some before he gets home... Sheesh... Moody 8 year old boy is not anything I'm in the mood to deal with today!!!!

Got home from dropping him off, and hugged my car... Yup, that's right, I hugged my Sebring. I missed my sexy car something fierce... It was so nice to have it back!

I'm supposed to go to the gym this morning and do my workout... I don't feel like it, so I'm not going to do it... Get this... According to my trainer, I need to lose weight... Yup, that's right... I said lose weight... 3 lbs, to be exact... Ha, right? (Don't beat me, I didn't say it, the trainer did!!!)

Lots to talk about today.... And such a short time to do it in!

Random stuff first...

I *finally* get my car back from the shop getting fixed after all the bad weather we've had... I have a replaced back windshield from baseball sized hail now!!! Woohoo!!! I was oh so happy to get my Sebring back - that car's my baby, you know, and I'm just about sick of driving Josh's monster truck...
Well, my reunion was short lived... My MIL's car went into the shop yesterday for hail damage, and her boyfriend's Durango is overheating... So... Yeah.

She's got my car, and I've got the overheating Durango... Good thing I don't need to go anywhere today...

On the bright side, she's gonna chauffeur kids around for me today, so I don't have that to worry about... I want my car back, though!!!! :)

Ok, so now that I'm done whining about my car, let's see here...

Yay! It's Friday!!! Just the fact it's the weekend makes it feel like it's calming down a bit! I've just got to make it through Matthew's t-ball practice this evening, then it's officially the weekend!!!!

It's gonna be busy, but at least it'll be at my pace!

I've got to drive up to my Mom and Dad's on Saturday evening for the family get-together. My brother's in from Mississippi, and my Grandmother's down from Wisconsin... I'm looking forward to that! It should be a raucous evening of all of us telling each other why we're wrong on something, and vocalizing strong viewpoints!!! I totally love my dysfunctional family!

Sunday is gonna be lazy, I hope!

I'm going to be tortured today - what would be my idea of torture anyway!

I'm going to have my "stress test" physical today at St. Michael's Hospital's Gym. Pretty much it's a medical gym where they tell you what you need to do to get into shape, keep an eye on problem areas for you, etc...

Which, sounds great, right? Here's the test. I have to fast for 3 hours - no coffee or food, get my blood drawn to check cholesterol, blood sugar, and all that good stuff, then go run on a treadmill at 10 a.m. until I reach my maximum heart rate.

No problem, right??? Other than the fact it's allergy time for me (stupid pine tree pollen), and I can barely breathe. I'm sucking down the coffee now, getting as much in me as I can before 7 a.m., so I'm somewhat functional!

Oy... So not looking forward to this... Just think, I'm doing all this just so I can go do yoga... Might be slightly insane on my part. Yeah, just a tish...

hehe!!! I despise Daylight Savings Time... Losing an hour of sleep just kinda stinks! I had totally forgotten it was coming, too! Thank goodness I woke up when the satellite flipped off at what was supposed to be 2 a.m. (I got up and reset the alarm clock so Josh would get up on time!)

I'd also like to welcome Penny to the team!!! You might know her as the talent behind "AllieKat Creations" - she's a total sweetheart, and when I found out that she was a huge fan of mine, I had to have her!!! I'm so happy she said yes! :)

My Creative Team totally RAWKS!!! They've been busy being creative, (like they do best!) and I'm loving the layouts!!!

I don't know what it is about it, but oh my... It's so peaceful and relaxing to me!

Where are all the rude digi-scrappers coming from?

In the past few days, several of my friends in the community have recieved nasty messages, myself included. I can't speak for them, but I am going to put down how I feel here. I know this doesn't apply to most of the community.... so bear with me here.

Plain and simple, if you see something on here or anyone else's blog for that matter that you don't like, keep going... I don't want to hear about how awful I am as a person because of such. No one does. All you do when you do that is hurt the person... and why on earth would you want to do that?

If you don't like the music on my blog, either click the pause button (the player's at the bottom of the page) or turn your speakers down. This is my blog. Think of it as my home on the internet. I like music. I have music on my blog. Sorry. It's part of who I am. I don't come into your home and tell you how to run things, now do I?

If you download a freebie from here or anywhere else, stop and say thank you. Is it so hard to type those 8 letters? I understand being busy... I am myself. If I download a freebie, I at least make sure to say Thank You. It's really not hard.... you might try it sometime.

All 3 of the kids have the flu now... Ick.

I'm sick of them being sick! I thought Hunter was getting better, then he went and threw up again... (So much for my plan to send him to school today!)

At least I'm not sick, yet! (Keep your fingers crossed!)

I have a fabulous thing to look forward to, though!

My wedding anniversary is Feb. 12th - so, my husband being the awesome man that he is, booked us a hotel room in Galveston, TX for the weekend after!

I have to take the kids with me, but that's ok... it's one of those huge suite hotel rooms - it even has a kitchenette and a balcony overlooking the Gulf!

My husband rules - instead of flowers or chocolate, he's getting me the ocean for our anniversary!

I love that man! :)

Poor Hunter

It's been a crazy week so far around here - Hunter's had the flu since Friday.... I tell you what, I'm ready for him to go back to school! He's one of those kids that even when he's sick, he doesn't slow down...

I'm just waiting for Matthew and Austin to come down with this... It doesn't seem fun.

My poor kids!

Anyway - I'm off to get back to being mom, and scrapping when I get a chance. So exciting I tell you! I just thought I'd drop off a goodie for ya'll!

Ok, folks... Celexa is EVIL!!!!

It can cause a little thing called "taste disturbance" as a side effect. Which is a really nice way of saying that it can screw up your taste buds!

Josh bought Sonic last night for dinner, and walked in the house with Route 44 Diet Dr. Pepper with a shot of Vanilla (Which is like my all-time favorite Sonic Drink EVER!!!) for me.

I dug into my bacon cheeseburger, got thirsty, took a drink, and gagged. It tasted just like Play-Doh! Thinking it might have been some weird bacon/hamburger/cheese/bread aftertaste, I took another drink, and about spit it out!

Yup. It still tasted like Play-Doh.

I then made everyone else taste it to make sure it wasn't tainted with some weird issues I didn't know about. It tasted fine to them... I had to lament my poor drink, then proceeded to switch to coffee. That didn't taste right either, but it was better than the Play-Doh!

I tried another Diet Dr. Pepper this morning, just to check if things had calmed down. Nope.

I really hope this is temporary. I can't live my life without my Diet Dr. Pepper!!!

Bleh.... I'm having one heck of an interesting week... Monday and Tuesday found me with absolutely no motivation at all. Wednesday found me curled up in a chair bawling my eyes out because the kids broke my really cool bracelet that I got on my cruise last year. I went to the doctor Thursday.

Now, for any of that to make much of any sense, here's the background story... After Austin was born, I was diagnosed with Post-Partum Depression. I did my treatment for it, was back to normal, got off the medicine, all was good with the world... Well, it's like it came back. I'm not going to call it Post-Partum, because let's face it, it's been 16 months since I had a baby (Thank goodness!!!)

I went back on my medicine. I get to stay on it for 6 months, and if this happens again, I get to stay medicated for the rest of my life!!! I don't really like that idea, but if it keeps me from freaking out, great, right? I can't explain it, but it's like some switch in my head got stuck on "On" and won't shut off... Does that even make sense? :)

So, yeah... I'm here... The Celexa will start working soon, then I'll be back to my happy go lucky self, I promise!

There's been so much going on, I finally got a chance to sit down and blog! Yay!

On the home front, My eldest munchkin has had the weirdest thing happen to him... He has gotten his "member" infected...

I don't know how or why, all I know is, OUCH! I feel really bad for Hunter. I'm hoping this medicine gives him a speedy recovery! No one should have to go thru that, especially an 8 year old boy!

Now, on to the busy world of digi-scrap! I've got a lot going on here!!!! (And I'm loving every minute of it all, too!)

First of all, the *BIG* news!!!

I'm a Pixie at DSO!

What's that, you ask? I help the "Fairies" (The designers that make the kit for the challenges each month) and do random things as needed. I also get to do the Pixie pick - spotlighting a layout or whatever I deem awesome enough to get mentioned. It's so cool! I'm loving it!

Wii! Wii! Wii!!!

Christmas was a total blast! The fam and I packed up our stuff and headed up to my Mom & Dad's place in Nashville.

I thought I was going to go crazy waiting for Christmas to arrive, just because Hunter and Matthew were simply out of control with excitement waiting for the jolly big guy to arrive!

The kids made out like bandits. They got lots of little things, but these were the really big memorable ones:

Hunter got a Game Boy Advance, several games to go with it, a RoboReptile, and a Star Wars lightsaber training game.

Matthew got a Smart Cycle video game system (It looks like a big tricycle that you can sit on and pedal - and this is how you control the video game... Quite cool if you ask me!) and an Easy Link system that uses character keys to surf the internet. I love not having to enter websites now!

Austin got himself a stuffed singing puppy that he's absolutely attached to. Carries it everywhere and hugs on it all the time. So cute! He also got a Clifford ride on toy, and a hammer that sounds like things are breaking when you hit something with it!

We as a family got the coolest thing ever!!!! The Wii. I'm addicted to it, I tell ya! As of this point, we're up to 5 games for it. You should see Matthew playing Wii Bowling. He totally kicks mine and Josh's butt on it. And Hunter is the Wii Tennis Champion! Josh loves playing the SSX series of games (Snowboarding) so we got him the newest one of it for him. I got the game I've been dying to play since it first came out but was dubbed "dumb" by Josh - Guitar Hero! It can't be too dumb... He's constantly playing it! (We've worked out a system for it. I play a song, he plays a song...) It's the only way I'll ever be able to live out my inner rock god fantasies, ya know? :)

My other Christmas presents were awesome too. I got a back massager cushion for my chair (and it has a car adapter!!!) a digital picture frame that I can show off digi-scrap layouts on, a Bunn Coffeepot (it has the reservoir that makes coffee in like 3 minutes.) new boots, a mandoline for the kitchen (There's a really funny story behind that, I'll have to tell ya'll about that!!!) and fancy coffee (things like Kona, FogLifter, French Vanilla...) and chocolate dipped coffee stirring spoons... Mmmmmmm!

So yeah, we had a good Christmas! I'm in no hurry for it to happen again for another year, though!!!

My biggest project now is to to start making 4X6 layouts for my new photo frame. I don't know if I could shrink down my completed ones to fit it and still have them look good... I don't care, it gives me an excuse to scrap and be creative, which I have really been missing since Christmas! Now if I could just break the Guitar Hero addiction... (Once I beat the game on Easy, I'm sure I'll be good... Medium looks downright impossible for me!)

My world has gone C-R-A-Z-Y!!!

I'm taking a break from the insanity for a few minutes - between loads of laundry, packing, and generally getting ready to leave for my parents' house for Christmas... so, I decided to blog, dang it!

All the presents have been bought - most have been wrapped. I hate wrapping, so I put it off till the last possible moment! Once I get to my mom's the cooking begins... Then there's absolutely insane children... Someone tell me what it is about Santa Claus that brings out a major refusal to listen or calm down in children?!?

LOL Ok, I'm done griping I promise!

I'm so Wow'ed by the response to Christmas Around the World so far... It's amazing! The kits totally RAWK! There's so much talent in this one, and I've got to admit, I'm downright humbled to be included! I'm in a mega-kit with Bannerwoman, for crying out loud!!!

I'm waiting until I have to go get Hunter from school to start downloading - that way I can sit down and not move for a while!!!

I've got a sick Matthew today. He had been running a fever of over 103 for a couple of days .We're down to right at 99.0 today, so I think he's recovering... Poor little Bat-Boo don't feel good.

I'm guessing it's the flu... He can keep it though, I don't want it!

Ahhhh... TGIF! I know, I haven't blogged in a couple days, but it's been nuts around here!!!

I had to buy the 3 older kids' Christmas present yesterday (That would be Hunter, Matthew, and Josh!) They're getting a Wii. Texarkana was just about out of the dang things yesterday, so I got extremely lucky. Now all I have to do is buy a couple of games for it, and I'm done dealing with overpriced electronics for a while!!!

Now, on to something other than game systems that sound like someone's having a little too much fun... Oooh, I know... Digi-Scrap Stuff!!!!

The kids went back to school!!!! (Thought I was talking about Christmas, didn't ya?)

Hunter did... Matt goes back tomorrow. He was going to today, but they have a slight leakage problem at the school - water's everywhere, along with chunks of wet ceiling tile... Yeah...

I'm still doing a dork dance because school's back in!!!

Ok, so... It's 14 days until the fantabulously huge Christmas Around the World kit goes live. You will find part of it here, so be sure you're here on Dec. 10th! I'll goof around today, see if I can't make a sneak preview of some kind....

Morning! I finally did it, broke down and got a month subscription to Atomic Cupcake's Atomic club!! I have lots and lots of new goodies to play with!!! Needless to say, there's gonna be a ton of goodies in the near future!

That might just save my sanity too, because the kids are home this week for Thanksgiving break... Oh my. It's day 1, and they're already fighting and arguing...

Hopefully, it will return my scrapping mojo too, because I just haven't wanted to the past few days... Dunno why.

I know this is short, but I need to go get some laundry done and start getting stuff ready to take off for Mom's... I'm gonna go help her get ready for the madhouse that is Thanksgiving! Mmmm... Can't wait for some turkey, mashed taters, and pumpkin pie!!! Oh yeah!!!

Ok, so where did the week go already? Sheesh... I swear it was Monday yesterday!

Let's see here - from a forum I'm on - I've got a thread with those "motivational" posters that you find in offices, only they're not really inspirational - more "unmotivational"... I find them hilarious... Today, this one was posted in honor of me...

I cracked up when I saw it...

I goofed up big time... Josh was having mouse problems.. It wasn't working right - so me, being the super awesome wife that I am - switched his out for mine, thinking I could deal with it - OMG... I hate his mouse. I can't even really digi scrap with it... I have got to go to Wal-Mart and buy a new one...

Hunter and Matt are both out of school all next week - Thanksgiving holidays... It's looking like I'm going to Mom and Dad's around Tuesday - just to help prepare for the oh so massive feast! I'm getting hungry just thinking about it! Can't wait for next Thursday!

I've got CT layouts to post here, and will in a bit... I gotta give my back a break - I did something to it, and I can't sit any longer!!

Ok... I've got a funny story for you today!

But, first, the news!

One of the fabulous DSO Designers is having a CT Call! Go Here for the information!

Kristine's got a new kit in store - Art Class! It's perfect for those artistic layouts of the kids drawing... You know you want it, go check it out!

Ok, now on to the story... If you don't believe I'm really a blonde, you will after this!

Josh and I took the kids down to Tyler, Texas to meet up with a friend we play our online game with and go to the zoo there.

We were browsing around and I wandered off to look at the rhinos. I walked over to the pen and looked in. There wasn't any rhinos in sight. I came back and reported to Josh that there weren't any rhinos out. He goes over to the pen, looks in and calls me over.

I walk back over there and he points at the fence at the back of the pen. "What's that?" he asked me. I looked and replied "A fence??" He starts laughing at me. I look again, and yup, it was just a fence. Then all of the sudden, a 2000 lb Rhinoceros appears seemingly out of nowhere.

Suffice it to say, I still haven't lived this down yet. I get teased about it on a regular basis, and not to mention, he had to go and tell our friend about it, so now I get it twice as bad...

And, you're in luck... Wanna know exactly what it is I saw? Josh took a photo...

Ok, Missy... You asked for a dork dance video... Well... My back don't feel like it right now... (The evil Auntie is visiting...) so... this is the next best thing... (Kris, this one's for you too!)

Me in the middle of a dork dance on a bar (in Progreso, Mexico never the less!!!) Yeah... The guy with his arm around me is the bartender - Papacita! He was a seriously cool dude. :) Why Josh took this picture, I'll never understand!!!

Crap, it's cold!!!!

I feel much better, now that I've got that out of my system!!!

So, what's a girl to do when it's in the 30's outside? Crank the Christmas tunes, of course... I see I'm not the only one either - Kristine is too! (although she's got snow to go along with it!) I've currently got Carol of the Bells on repeat (My all time favorite Christmas song) It's a good thing Josh isn't home... I'd be driving him crazy right now!

I was so happy last night... Austin sounded like he said "Mom"! (Only sounded like, I'm not sure if he did, and he hasn't said it again... Turkey.) See, Austin has flat out refused to say Mom... He knows who I am, but he calls me... ready for this... "Da-Da".

Grrrrr... Josh thinks it's funny. I am not amused!

The final member for the WenchdGrafix CT has been chosen - and, it's the Melon Queen, Bunny! Perfect choice if you ask me... She fits right in with this rowdy bunch! :) Congrats, Bunny!

Seriously... I had 2 Cosmopolitans last night, and I got flat out wasted off of them... Woke up this morning with a seriously upset stomach. I don't remember alcohol affecting me this badly when I was 21!!!! The joys of getting old, huh? It's almost embarassing to admit the tiny amount of alcohol it takes to get me drunk!

So, announcement!!!

A few days ago, while browsing through my favorite blogs, I came across a CT Call for Sugar Snap Scraps. Ever since I found her blog thanks to the IkeaGoddess - I've loved her stuff.

I figured I wouldn't get it, but I would have kicked myself in the butt hard if I didn't try!
