Hiya, Humberto!

One would think that living 6 hours from the coast means I don't really have to worry about Hurricanes, right? I'm beginning to think otherwise... We had Rita come through in 2005, and that was pretty neat - really, really windy and tons of rain... Looks like we're gonna get a taste of Humberto today. If he doesn't start shifting to the Northeast like they say he's supposed to, that is...

Oddly enough, I don't mind 'canes. I kinda like them! It's the cool parts of thunderstorms (wind and rain) minus the freaky stuff - (tornadoes!) Yeah, I know, you can still get tornadoes with a hurricane, I just like to think they don't happen! I'd love to go through a Category 5 just once, but only if I knew I'd be safe... It's the science nut in me.

Anyway - my obsession with hurricanes aside!!!! I'm doing better today. It's calm, at least!

I've got new scrapbooking stuff to work with!!! You'll find out what in a couple of days (Hey, gotta keep the suspense somehow, right?)
