"Fair"ly Tagged!

Josh and I took the two older boys to the fair last night! It was an absolute blast! The best part of it all was watching Hunter and Matthew do stuff that only the big kids get to do... like, bungee bounce! The bungee bounce looks like this harness you put on to rock climb, then there's bungee cords attached to it, and you're on a trampoline thingy. Hunter got on, got strapped in, and started bouncing - looked just like the human version of Tigger, I tell you! Matthew was so tiny in his! He just barely met the weight requirement of 40 lbs... He got strapped in, then started jumping, which looked more like gliding and floating to me! He was so stinking cute! Dumb me forgot the camera... I wish I had gotten photos of the two of them doing that!

After several rides on the Tilt-A-Whirl (There's a McGilberry family tradition to see who can make the thing spin faster... Hunter had Josh, I had Matt... Hunter and Josh won!) the ferris wheel (Which I HATE!) and several other rides I'm not too sure of the name of, we got gigantic corn dogs and a lemonade to eat, then bid the fair goodbye for another year. Next year Austin's gonna want to go, I can just see it now!

So, I got tagged by Kristine to share 6 things about me... I'd be kinda scared if I were ya'll, but ok, here goes!

1. I am obsessed with Tigger from Winnie the Pooh. You know, the bouncy, trouncy, flouncy one. I think I own every single Tigger shirt I have ever come across in the stores... If I see something Tigger, I buy it, let's just say! I even have a crystal Tigger that my Mom and Dad bought me for Christmas a few years back!!! He sits on my mantle (or did, before we started getting ready to sell the house!) and just reminds me that life is supposed to be fun!

2. When I was in labor with Hunter, I scared the crap out of Shannon, my father-in-law... He and my mother in law came into the hospital room to see how I was doing, and I was laying there on the hospital bed, numb as can be on an epidural, poking my stomach, which was rock hard, and watching Aliens on TV. (And it just happened to be on the scene where an alien decides to pop out of a human...) As they were walking in, I had muttered out loud, Sheesh, that one must hurt, then giggled... He informed me I was nuts! I don't get it... Isn't it normal for people to do goofy things when all drugged up???

3. My whole relationship with Josh started on a lie. (Not by me!) My friend, Margaret was online in a chat room, and happened to run across Josh. She got to talking to him, and convinced him to drive 3 hours from Conway, Arkansas (where he went to college), to Monticello, Arkansas (where we went to college) to meet her. When he showed up, she tried to get me to go pretend to be her! (Margaret was about 5'3 and 260 lbs. I was 5'9 and 120 lbs at the time.) Turns out she had told him she looked like me. I didn't do it, I made her go meet Josh herself!!! I was so mean to him too when I first met him... I didn't want anything to do with him! He wouldn't leave me alone though - kept coming back down to Monticello to see me (My friends all loved him!) and IM'ing me all the time! I finally caved after he got to kiss me in a game of Truth or Dare. Believe me, after that, I would have been dumb not to! It was electric! Hey Margaret, if you're reading this - thanks for meeting my Mr. Right and making him come meet you!!!

4. I cannot chew up a piece of an onion. I can't stand the texture of it! I love the flavor though. Thank goodness they make Onion Powder!

5. I am allergic to all forms and fashion of seafood. If I eat it, my throat starts swelling. If I were to eat too much of it, I wouldn't be able to breathe. It sucks too, because I love seafood.

6. I am addicted to 80's music. Especially the hair bands. We have a channel on our Dish Network satellite system called Sirius's "The Big 80's" - in which they play all 80's music 24 hours a day. I love it - it's usually on all the time here. My favorite 80's song? "Living on a Prayer" by Bon Jovi.

Ok, that's 6... Yay!!! Let's see here... I tag Angel, Sondra, and Heather! Let's see 'em, ladies!!!
