The heat is on...

"Tell me can you feel it, tell me can you feel it, tell me can you feel it... The heat is on... The heat is on... oh yeah..."

Ok, admit it, you have that song in your head now that you read that, don't you? LOL!!!! Well, if you look thru the songs in my player on the sidebar there, you'll find it... I added it just because I was mean and got it stuck in your head (and mine!!!!)

I started with that because of one very important point to me right now... I don't have a freaking air conditioner right now... Mine went OUT!

Yeah, that's right... It's summer, very hot (and humid) outside, and it's not any better in here.... In fact, I think it feels better outside to be totally honest!

Josh is calling the AC guys tomorrow to get estimates to get a new one... We knew this day was coming, I just wish it had waited till October when it had started cooling off!

Let me pause to wipe my forehead... Ah, that's better!

Ok, so where was I???

I had a good weekend up at the cabin at Millwood Lake this weekend... Summer's officially here now! The boys had a blast playing outside with the other kids and spending time with their Grandmommy McGilberry.

I enjoyed the quiet time I got with just getting to sit on the porch and do little to nothing... Seriously, sitting in a rocking chair on a shaded porch with an ice cold Diet Dr. Pepper just says total relaxation to me!

I took my laptop to try to get some LO's done, but it didn't happen. I had my nose stuck in Janet Dailey's "Green Calder Grass" every chance I got! I'm loving that book so far...

Ok, enough of my rambling.... I know what!!! I've got a couple of Quick Pages for you from the amazing Kim! She used my kit, Lazy Day for these, and let me tell you, it's gonna be lots of lazy days around here for me until this air gets fixed!

Aight... I need more cold water and I'm seriously thinking about opening a few windows... Have a good one!

Oh my gosh!! NO A/C??!!! Dang that's harsh!! Hope you get the fixers out there real quick! And hope it doesn't break the bank! That stuff is expensive, especially when it's hot - they can charge whatever they want cuz they know you NEED it!

CUTE QP's! Woohoo!!

Thanks :)

Hey Nik! Glad you had fun at the cabin and sorry to hear about the AC - that blows! Ours was $5K 6 years ago, but that included the heating too (you couldn't have paid me to turn on that old furnace)...Yasha did all the install though....would your homeowners insurance cover any of it?

Oh my gosg, no AC, girl I feel for you. Without the AC all I would be having is Lazy Days! Maybe you will be able to get it fixed SOON if not SOONER. I have a little something to give back to you on my blog :) Thanks for everything. Try and stay cool!!!

Thanks for the Lazy Day QP's ... Very Pretty ;) I may have to turn my a/c off since the power bill is $300 and I know that is from leaky ducts but that costs $$ too! I saw a good idea the other day where you take a bucket and put water and ice and a little bit of that Sea Breeze face stuff and damp a towel and wear it around your neck... supposed to prevent heat stroke! BFN... Cindy
