I'm off...

to see the world!

Ok, so I'm not going on a grand trip around the globe, but I am leaving the United States for 9 days today!

That's right... As you're reading this, I'm off for Canada to go see my one and only favorite Wench! I'm leaving out of Little Rock, Arkansas at 11:30 a.m., flying into Charlotte, North Carolina at 2:19 p.m. (That's gonna be 1:19 my time... I'm gonna be so off... Stupid time zones!!!)

At Charlotte, I sit around until 4:30 p.m., when my flight leaves for Buffalo, New York. I get in there at 6:17 p.m. There I shall meet up with Kris (YAY!!!), get food, see Niagara Falls, then it's off to Canada!

As if my next few days aren't going to be super exciting enough, today's also my birthday! I turn the big 2-9 today... (Only 1 year away from 30... *sob*!)

How about this... you get a present, on my birthday! Lucky you! Celebrate my big day, and my freedom from the male species for 9 days with me, won't ya? :)

Redecorating

Excuse the mess - I got sick of the way my blog looked, so it's time to redo it!

I've had a crazy day so far today.

Hunter had a dentist appointment this morning. He got 2 teeth pulled, and 3 cavities filled, and he's still not done! We go back on May 7th for the last filling. He's super hard to understand right now... If I didn't feel so bad for what just happened to him, I'd be laughing at him, I'm sure!

Matthew beat Guitar Hero on Easy... Oh yeah, he's all that now... He got to the first song on Medium thinking he was all that... about 3 tries later, he was asking me to beat it for him. I had pity - but that's the only one I'm doing for him, darn it!!!

Oh!!! Before I forget - we went to Josh's cousin's wedding this weekend in Oklahoma. Matthew was the ring bearer (or ring barrier as he called it)... and I've got photos of him and the other two to show off!!!

My little man all spiffed up in his suit!!! Isn't Bat-Boo a doll? :)

While Matt was all dressed up and couldn't get dirty - Hunter had no problems picking up the slack! He had fun running all over playing with his new friends while we were waiting for the wedding to start.

Last but not least - Austin looking as adorable as ever. I found that shirt he has on at Wal-Mart, and thought it was totally fitting for him to wear to the wedding!

Let's see here... What else am I forgetting....

Yeah, now that's what I'm talking about... Every blog post should start out with his totally *HAWT* self!!!

Kris and I were chatting last night, and somehow it ended up on good looking men, and we both agree about Bruce... The older and balder he gets the better!!!

Let's see here... What's going on in my life since last time I blogged...

Hunter is taking the Benchmark Test this week. This is one of those tests that he either passes or fails 3rd Grade... I'm a little worried about it, because he doesn't test well... He has a hard time sitting there paying attention for hours on end like they want them to on these tests...

Matthew is becoming a Guitar Hero. He finally beat his first song, "Slow Ride". He's thinks he's all that, let me tell you! He's informed me that he was now better than I am at the game... I'll just let him think that!

Austin's been his usual goofy baby self... He's started saying "Cheese, dude!" thanks to his Daddy and older brothers... So, at dinner now, if we're having anything with cheese, that's all you hear is "Cheese, dude!!!!" He's also been refusing to call Josh Daddy lately. Josh is now "Dude"...

I know, my child is strange. :)

Wacky Wednesday...

Am I really blogging two days in a row??? What is wrong with me? :)

So... My day started off in it's typically insane fashion... Woke up at 8:50... I'm guessing Josh didn't reset the alarm, because it wasn't going off... Come to find out, Hunter had been up since 7:30, just didn't wake me up because he thought if he didn't, he'd get to skip school.... Yeah, right, kiddo...

So, after putting my "mom" foot down and making him get ready for school, I got him up there and dropped off, with my apologies to his teacher for the evil mood he was in... I hope it improves some before he gets home... Sheesh... Moody 8 year old boy is not anything I'm in the mood to deal with today!!!!

Got home from dropping him off, and hugged my car... Yup, that's right, I hugged my Sebring. I missed my sexy car something fierce... It was so nice to have it back!

I'm supposed to go to the gym this morning and do my workout... I don't feel like it, so I'm not going to do it... Get this... According to my trainer, I need to lose weight... Yup, that's right... I said lose weight... 3 lbs, to be exact... Ha, right? (Don't beat me, I didn't say it, the trainer did!!!)

There's hope for my sanity yet!!!!

All 3 of the kids have the flu now... Ick.

I'm sick of them being sick! I thought Hunter was getting better, then he went and threw up again... (So much for my plan to send him to school today!)

At least I'm not sick, yet! (Keep your fingers crossed!)

I have a fabulous thing to look forward to, though!

My wedding anniversary is Feb. 12th - so, my husband being the awesome man that he is, booked us a hotel room in Galveston, TX for the weekend after!

I have to take the kids with me, but that's ok... it's one of those huge suite hotel rooms - it even has a kitchenette and a balcony overlooking the Gulf!

My husband rules - instead of flowers or chocolate, he's getting me the ocean for our anniversary!

I love that man! :)

I actually got to get a challenge done for DSO this month! The color challenge! This means good things for you, I made a goodie for ya'll!

Poor Hunter

It's been a crazy week so far around here - Hunter's had the flu since Friday.... I tell you what, I'm ready for him to go back to school! He's one of those kids that even when he's sick, he doesn't slow down...

I'm just waiting for Matthew and Austin to come down with this... It doesn't seem fun.

My poor kids!

Anyway - I'm off to get back to being mom, and scrapping when I get a chance. So exciting I tell you! I just thought I'd drop off a goodie for ya'll!

Drop and Run...

I'm still out of it... If this tells you anything - yesterday, after my husband got home from work, he sent me to bed... Well, he turned the TV on to the 80's music channel for me to have some background noise to (I sleep better that way...)

Anyway... I was convinced that the music coming from the TV was the alarm clock finally going off from 7:00 a.m. yesterday morning... Josh looked at me like I was in fact crazy, smiled and told me "Goodnight, darlin." Today seems just as surreal, so, here's a drop and run for you.

This sucks!

Well, my head quit hurting! That's always a good thing, right?

The headache was the beginning of some *EVIL* cold. I'm running a fever, congested, my throat is raw and I sound like a teenage boy going thru puberty right now. I've got a bad feeling I'm gonna lose my voice.

To add insult to feeling like crap - the alarm didn't go off this morning... So, I slept in until 10:00... Hunter didn't go to school! Oops. The back up alarm that is the Auster-Munks slept in too... What I want to know is why can't he do this on Saturday when Mom can sleep in???

Bleh. Ok... On to something more interesting than how crappy I feel.

it's another... Austin crashed pretty hard last night. Hunter spent the night at his friend's house (no school today!) and Matthew is at my mom and dad's house for the weekend... So I went to bed thinking, that I was finally gonna get a good night's sleep, right???

Hell no. Enter Orion, the "stand at the fence and shrilly yap" wonder dog. I had to get up and make him come inside last night. He wouldn't stop! When I finally got him inside, he proceeded to let off a string of yaps that echoed throughout the back of the house, waking.... yup, Austin.

On the bright side (if there is one here...) Josh got up with me and Austin last night. So, he's tired today too! I'm going back to bed in the semi-near future. Austin's coming up on nap time!

I woke up in an evil mood today (lack of sleep is getting to me! I was up at 1, 3, and 5 this morning with Austin...) got my coffee, and plunked down in the front of the computer. Humpday returns!!!!!

Hooray!!! It's Humpday!!! I'm especially happy about it today, because it means Josh gets paid!!!! I get to go grocery shopping!!!! (I never thought I'd be happy to say that!!!)

Seriously though... I under bought food for some crazy reason last time.. Thought I had enough for 2 weeks... Turned out to be a week and 1/2. I'm getting sick of scrounging in the pantry for random things to throw together for dinner!!!

Ok, something other than food... It looks like we're in for some NASTY weather today. There's a front coming through. Humid Southern air and cold Canadian air masses equal bad weather. On the bright side, it's excellent sleeping weather... (Did you hear that Austin????)

So... on to something other than my issues.... Did you know Maureen has a totally cute freebie on her blog? I love it! You've gotta go snag it!
